As we move into October, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to our students, families, and staff for the flexibility, patience, and partnership demonstrated throughout the classroom reorganization process in mid-September. Change can bring uncertainty, but our school community worked together to ensure a smooth transition while keeping student learning and well-being at the center of every decision. I would also like to thank families and students for embracing our expectation that cameras remain on during learning, unless otherwise directed by the teacher. As we have settled into the school year, we have already seen the positive impact this has had on student engagement, classroom participation, and the meaningful relationships being built between students and teachers. Seeing one another helps strengthen our sense of belonging and community, while allowing teachers to better support student learning. With our classes now established and strong routines taking shape, we are excited for all that lies ahead and look forward to a wonderful year of learning, growth, and connection at Limestone Elementary Virtual School.

Community Information

E-Scooter Information from City of Kingston

E-scooters are easy to find, but they aren't toys and aren't designed for kids. In Ontario, you must be at least 16 years old to ride wherever e-scooters are permitted.
In Kingston, e-scooters are not currently permitted. The City is developing a Micromobility Regulations Strategy — with updated rules around e-scooters, e-bikes and other lightweight, rideable transportation — to support safe, accessible and sustainable travel around Kingston. The strategy, which considers public engagement feedback and research into best practices, will be presented to Council for consideration later this year.
Find out more at Micromobility Regulations | Get Involved Kingston by Communications & Public Engagement.
