Administration Team Update
I have to share with families that Adam Andrecyk, VP with EVS, is being transferred and so his last day as part of the Alternative and Continuing Ed Administrative Team will be next Friday, December 19th. Adam has been an integral support for EVS students, family and staff and he leaves a large hole with his departure. Adam works diligently behind the scenes to ensure all things EVS run smoothly. He has been a main point of contact for many of you and your students. Adam is moving to his next opportunity as a Vice-Principal of LCVI/Calvin Park in Limestone. We wish Adam all the best on this next step and know LCVI/Calvin are lucky to have him. I can't thank Adam enough for his leadership and care for EVS over the last number of years.
Kristin Stevens, who is currently VP at Sydenham HS, will be joining the Alternative and Continuing Ed Administrative Team alongside Scott McFarlane, VP, and myself, Kate Myers, Principal, when we return from the holiday break. We are still working to determine our portfolios to determine the key contact for families and will share that in the new year.

School Attendance - Every School Day Counts
Regular attendance is vital for academic success and personal growth. It builds knowledge, responsibility, and allows teachers to support individual needs, enhancing performance and classroom cohesion. Families can prioritize attendance by:
- Discussing its importance positively.
- Scheduling appointments outside school hours.
- Returning children to school after appointments.
If you know of an upcoming student absence, please email virtualk8@limestone.on.ca or call 613-542-7369 to notify the main office before 9:30am. Safe arrival will call home for all absences at 10 a.m.

Human Development and Sexual Health Curriculum
As part of LDSB's commitment to ongoing transparency and communication with families, please follow the link to Form 325-D on the LDSB website. It outlines the Human Development and Sexual Health curriculum expectations for Grades 1-8. Families can request to have their child or children exempted from instruction related to Human Development and Sexual Health expectations by completing and returning an exemption form for each child (Form 325-B) five school days before the start of instruction. Prior to instruction, your child's classroom teacher will inform parents/guardians when the expectations related to the Human Development and Sexual Health expectations in Strand D will be covered. For a more detailed overview of this process, please refer to Administrative Procedure 325: Exemption From Human Development and Sexual Health Instruction (listed under the Policies and Procedures section of the LDSB website), or contact the school.
